I was creative director and co-writer on Huawei and the decision to run a print campaign was only taken to lend this unheard of Chinese brand some legitimacy. I'm glad it was because it established a great tone of voice for the brand and the ads stand out like dogs balls (sorry have great cut through) in the mobile phone category. Oh and Huawei reached their entire year’s sales target in the first month of activity (which was nice).
